Mexican-Preuvian-Columbian DJ duo Monopolar – coming from respective techno and avant-jazz backgrounds – enjoy an online production relationship with Mono DJing in Bogota and Polar based in Mexico City [achoo!] and Berlin, both intent on highlighting their Latin American musical heritage. 'La Bouche' is a deep, swirling Latin-tech-house groover laced with electronic grumbles and heaving organ. Their 'L'Autre Bouche' strips down to a slow-burning hypno-throb while the mix by Nicone – Berlin's Alexander Gerlach and Sascha Braemer – take the dismembodied minimal route. Unusual and electric.
